Clifford Interactive Storybooks
Early reading fun with your favorite Big Red Dog!

Follow the Big Red Dog down the road to letter-learning!
What you need:
• crayons and/or markers
• index cards
What to do:
1. Log on to the Clifford Interactive Storybooks.
2. Choose a story to read. Each one emphasizes a different reading-related skill. On each page of the story, read the sentences out loud or click to hear them read.
3. After reading a story, play the game associated with it, which provides additional practice with the same skill. The games include Concentration, Make a Word (drag letters to make words), Letter Match, and Sound Match. (You can play the games without reading the stories, if you like).
4. For an offline extension of the games, pick a letter and ask your child to spot it — in newspapers, magazines, books, or signs. You can even make your own game of letter concentration. Write letters on two sets of index cards (for a total of 52 cards). As an additional challenge, make one set of uppercase letters and one of lowercase letters and match them.
Learning benefits:
• listening skills
• letter recognition
• memory skills
• identification of word sounds
