Using the resources of the Web can help you create lots of great lessons for kids on nutrition and fitness — especially interactive ones! While they are putting together a menu, it may help if they find out cool stuff about fruits and veggies.

If that doesn't make them love carrots and the like, you can show them the delicious, healthy recipes created by other students and start them on making their own.

Kids can also check out Smart-Mouth.org, created by the Center for Science in the Public Interest. Here, kids can get snacktoid facts about nutrition, as well as play games like Choose Ur Chews, which allows kids to build a meal and see how their choices rate on the "sat-fat-o-meter" and "cal-o-meter."

What if you want to go ahead and have that juicy cheeseburger once in a while? You can at least burn off the calories and keep healthy through exercise. Your students can explore what scientists know about the best ways to exercise. All of this interactive learning can lead to an active, healthy life!
