4. Reward a Successful Principal
High-poverty middle or high schools that are showing significant improvements in test scores may qualify as one of MetLife-NASSP’s Breakthrough Schools. Each designated school will receive a $5,000 grant and be featured in Principal Leadership, the magazine of the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

5. Money for Summer PD
Your teachers, classroom support, and other school staff can qualify for funds to participate in professional development programs, such as summer institutes or action research. The NEA’s Learning and Leadership Grants provide $2,000 for individuals and $5,000 for professional groups.
