Westport Marina (Westport, WA) Home to the state’s largest charter fishing fleet, this is a great spot to watch beautiful boats glide in and out of port daily. Head over around sunrise during fishing season (May through October) when the area is at its busiest.

Philadelphia Zoo (Philadelphia, PA) April through October, fly high above Philly in the Channel 6 Zoo Balloon (a tethered hot air balloon) for a unique look at giraffes, zebras, and the city’s skyline. Each ride lasts 10 minutes and costs $10 to $15 per person.

National Elk Refuge (Jackson Hole, WY) During the summer, this vibrant area shines green and blue and hosts a variety of wildlife, like bighorn sheep, eagles, and bison. During the colder months, watch tons of elk in action—up to 7,500 winter here every year.

Olympic Park (Park City, UT) Explore the ski museum and watch jump contests or Olympic athletes in training for free year-round. For a small fee, you can take a guided bus tour (schedule 48 hours in advance) to the top of the world’s highest-altitude ski jumps to get a gold medal view of distant mountains.
