Taking Nighttime Photos
Tech tips for fledgling photogs.
First, check your camera for an automatic night setting and choose it. But if you’re using a manual setting, turn off your flash and select a high ISO so that your camera is extra sensitive to any available light.
Take advantage of outdoor lighting, like the glow from a porch lamp or bonfire.
Finally, avoid optical zoom—try to stand no more than 10 feet from your subject unless it's very well lit.
