Gloria Steinem

Gloria Steinem is one of the country's most widely read and critically acclaimed writers and editors, and one of the most influential feminist organizers in the world.

In 1972, Gloria co-founded the ground-breaking feminist magazine Ms., and has helped organize and found some of the most prominent feminist organizations in the country, including the Ms. Foundation for Women, Women's Action Alliance and Voters for Choice. She has written two best-selling books — Revolution from Within and Outrageous Acts and Other Rebellions — and countless articles and essays. Gloria has long been a role model and inspiration for girls and women who venture to cross social barriers of gender, race, age, and economic origin.
