iCarly Tunes In To Kids!

Thirteen million kids can’t be wrong—especially when it comes to Nickelodeon’s new series iCarly. Thirteen million viewers tuned in for iCarly’s premiere weekend on September 8, 2007. They tuned into the nick TV channel, clicked on to TurboNick, and even navigated to www.icarly.com to check out the most interactive kid-friendly TV show to date!

Starring Drake & Josh’s mischevious little sister, Miranda Cosgrove, iCarly is about an Internet-savvy eighth grader who has her own Webcast that features homemade video submissions from kid viewers.

But that’s reel life. In real life, iCarly also accepts viewer video submissions for possible inclusion in the TV show. Talk about audience participation!

Shortly before iCarly hit the airwaves and Internet, Scholastic News Online had a chance to sit down and go one-on-one with Miranda and her costars Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress. Here is what they had to tell us about life on and off the set of iCarly.
