The Spiderwick Chronicles
Scholastic News Online had the opportunity to talk with the stars of the new film The Spiderwick Chronicles, Freddie Highmore and Sarah Bolger.
The film is based on the classic book series by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi, and delights the fantasy and mystery lover in all of us. “The movie often lulls you into a false sense of security and then a creature jumps out,” Freddie says. “Right from the start you get the sense that something is going to go wrong—even from the opening credits. It’s got that edgy feel about it like something could happen at any time!”
If you love magical creatures and mysterious storylines, you can check out The Spiderwick Chronicles in the theaters on February 14—which is both Valentine’s Day and Freddie’s birthday!
