Jonathan Stroud

Biography

Born in England, Jonathan Stroud always had a love of fantasy literature.  So when he moved from an Editor at Kingfisher Publishers to a full-time writer he started off on a quest to write the type of literature he would have enjoyed as a child.  His first book Buried Fire, published in 1999, was a fantasy tale of good versus evil.

Stroud has gone on to publish more young adult novels including his latest entitled, Bartimaeus: The Amulet of Samarkand, the first book in this fantasy trilogy.  While receiving rave reviews this series is sure to be must read for fantasy lovers.

Stroud lives in London his wife.
