Biography

Elisha is the author and illustrator of Beach, Ballpark, Country Fair, California and Off the Road. His books are beautifully illustrated with watercolors and the pictures are often inspired by his real life trips driving around the country and by the sights and sounds of the places he visits.

Elisha's newest book is A Good Night Walk, the story of a parent and child as they take a nighttime stroll. They take in the sights and sounds of their neighborhood. They see the postman, hear squirrels chattering, and smell an apple pie cooling on a windowsill. When they reach the bay, the sun goes down, and it is time to head home. Going back the way they came, they notice that things have changed. Acclaimed author-illustrator Elisha Cooper's soothing words and magical illustrations make this book the perfect bedtime story.

Elisha lives with his family in Chicago, Illinois.
