John likes being a reporter, but he isn't so sure what he wants to do when he gets older.

In his spare time, he likes to play video games and visit with family and friends. When he's not doing that he likes to go to the movies or read science fiction and fantasy books.

As a Kid Reporter, John hopes to continue to meet lots of new and interesting people. He says he has lots of fun going to different events and writing about them.

"I love the unique opportunities to meet new people and learn about new things," he said. "Last time around, I met many local and national level politicians, as well as some adult members of the press."

John is in the ninth grade in Columbia, South Carolina. He has one older brother.
