Michelle Bourgeois

Biography

Michelle began her teaching career 18 years ago as an elementary classroom teacher in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the years since, she has had the opportunity to work with students in grades K-8 as a teacher of Math and Science, has served as a School Technology Coordinator and District Technology Trainer and is currently the Faculty Professional Growth Specialist at Pensacola Catholic High School in Pensacola, Florida. Michelle has spoken at over a dozen State and National Conferences including the annual conferences of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Science Teacher's Association, National Catholic Educational Association, and the Florida Educational Technology Conference.

Michelle was selected as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2003 and began contributing to Scholastic.com in 1995. Her passion is helping teachers find ways to use technology as a tool to engage and excite students.
