Students will discover the characteristics of many circus jobs, animals, and activities through literature, poetry, science, math, art, drama, and movement.

OBJECTIVE

Students will:

  • Name the kinds of jobs people have at the circus.
  • Name five animals that are in a typical circus. Tell where they are from, what they eat, the female and male names for each animal, and what their babies are called.
  • Select a favorite circus book.
  • Role-play a clown trick.
  • Make a clown book.
  • Explain what a circus is and why we have it.
