Gorgeously Illustrated Story of Global Connections
A heartwarming multicultural story about the connections shared by people around the world.
Way up north in a snow-covered, frozen world, an Inuit girl breaks a hole in the ice to fish for her supper — and discovers at the end of her line a small, brightly painted wooden bird. She ties it onto her necklace, next to a small white bear. Each day the ocean delivers more treasures, which she uses to decorate her igloo. Animals come to visit her and share stories of faraway lands — until the snow begins to melt and it's time for Immi to move on. Before she leaves, Immi drops the bear carving from her necklace into the fishing hole — and eventually a young boy finds it on a faraway tropical beach.
