Get Label-Happy at Home

Seeing printed words posted on familiar objects around the house helps your child make the connection between words she hears every day (“table,” “bed,” “toy box”) and the written language. Also label smaller things like those in your child’s room like “books” or “sock drawer.” Make a sign for your child's bedroom door, too!
