Listen to That!

Hearing the differences between sounds helps your child understand how language works, and also helps her build up to reading skills later on. “Listen to the ticking of the clock when we are quiet!” “Wow, the cat’s claws are really scratchy on her post!” Talk about the sounds your child makes when she splashes in the tub, claps her hands, or stamps her feet.
