Physics Lesson With Cars

Get a long cardboard tube, such as one from a roll of wrapping paper, and some toy cars small enough to fit inside. Use the edge of a couch or a chair to prop one end up a couple of feet. Have your child send the cars through to the other end. Explain how gravity is what pulls them down. Play with moving the tube’s end up a bit, slowing or stopping the cars as they travel through.
