The Story of You

While you can pick any subject and ask your child to write down what you say, she’ll be much more likely to engage in the process if you share a story about her — her first birthday party, the time she dumped flour all over the kitchen, or the way you felt the first time you held her in your arms. This activity also helps her practice her listening skills.
