What Are You Looking at, Baby?!

Being attentive to your infant’s interests is an easy, natural way to promote the kind of early communication skills that, as he grows, are part and parcel of language learning. When your baby’s gaze rests on something, comment on it by saying, “Oh, yes, there’s Tommy building with blocks!” Or, if your baby points at things, remark on what he’s indicating.
