Quilt of Knowledge
Celebrate the end of the year by working together to create a quilt of knowledge! Have students share advice with next year’s class by decorating templates with sketches, poems, and stories recounting favorite classroom memories. Glue templates to colored paper and use yarn to tie it all together.
What you'll need:
Crayons, colored pencils, etc.
Double stick tape or glue stick
Wisdom Quilt Template
1 Download and print out template on standard 8.5 x 11 inch printer paper.
2 Help kids draw a picture in large box. Next, students can write a letter, poem, or story on blank lines. Finally, help kids cut out the panel along the dotted line.
4 Attach each panel to a piece of colored paper (8.5 x 11 inches) using double-stick tape or a glue stick.
5 Punch a hole in each corner of each panel. Tie panels together with colorful scraps of yarn to make a quilt.
6 Display for next year!
