Creative Activities for the First Week of School

I am always looking for new ideas when it comes to planning for the first week of school. Some great resources I've found for getting to know students and welcoming them to the classroom include the article "Top 5 Ways to Welcome Students Back to School," this page of "getting-to-know-you" activities, and these getting-to-know-you printables.

Hi All!

Thanks for the compliments! My classroom website was moved to the following location: http://hil.troy.k12.mi.us/staff/bnewingham/myweb3/

Sorry for the confusion!

Hi Beth,

I am with Jaclyn and Tiffany. I feel a little lost this year not being able to access your webpage for inspiration and guidance. Hope it is back up and running soon!

These look like great ideas. It is definitely something to consider.

Hi Beth,
My name is Tiffany and I have enjoyed using all of your articles and webpage.I had the same problem too as Jaclyn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Beth,

My name is Jaclyn, and your personal teacher webpage and your articles on Top Teaching have greatly influenced the way I organize my reading workshop and teach reading.

The other day I was trying to visit your teacher webpage (the one you hosted on your school's website), and the link is no longer working. Is something just temporarily not working, or has your site moved?

Thanks for any help you can offer!
